DAS began in 1996 with a single idea: technology should make business information work harder. Today we are a business process automation and outsourcing company serving organisations across South Africa and the African continent.
Our story
From pioneering digitisation to end-to-end automation
As trailblazers, DAS introduced South Africa's very first internet-based scanning and retrieval solutions. From there we moved to the forefront of hosted data capture — transforming paper forms through efficient scan-and-capture processes and, later, revolutionary in-the-field mobile tablet solutions.
Over three decades, capture became the starting point rather than the destination. Today DAS automates the processes that documents feed: accounts payable, proof of delivery and receivables, onboarding and registration, and workflow across departments.
Our outsourcing bureau handles back-scanning, ongoing capture and complete business processes on agreed service levels, while our analytics division, iDAS, turns process data into embedded, decision-ready insight.

Our name grew up with our business. What started as digital archiving is now business process automation and outsourcing — so we are simply DAS.
